This dance is the Romanian version of the dance commonly called a Dajčovo or Zizaj Nane in Bulgaria. Nico Hilferink introduced the Romanian version of this  dance to the USA, he learned it from Jora Roman and during a tour in Plopu Romania in 1989. Cadâne is a word borrowed from Turkish meaning "virgin" or "unmarried woman".

Meter: 9/8, Counted as QQQS
Formation: Open circle, hands down in V position. Leads to the R
Introduction: None (or skip the first time through part 1)

Part 1: Basic (Square)

Bar 1: Facing center, Hop on L foot, arms swing forward (or down) (Q), step R to R (Q), close L next to R (Q), step on R to R (S), arms swing back and start slightly forward
Bar 2: Hop on R, arms swing forward (Q), Step L (Q), R (Q), L (S) curving into the center, arms swing back.
Bar 3:Hop on L, Arms swing forward (Q), Cross R over L (Q), Step on L to L (Q), Cross R over L (S), arms swing back as above
Bar 4: Hop on R, arms swing forward (Q), Step L (Q), R (Q), L (S), backing away from the center, arms swing as above
Bars 5-8: repeat bars 1-4

Part 2: Travel

Bar 1: Facing slightly R of center, hop on L (Q), Step on R in LOD (Q), Close L next to R (Q), Step on R in LOD (S), arms swing down on hop (forward), then back
Bar 2: Repeat bar 1 with opposite footwork, arms swing up to W position and stay there through the bar.
Bars 3-8: repeat bars 1-2 three more times, for a total of 4

Part 3: Reverse Square

Bar 1: Arms are in W position, Hop on L (Q), Cross R over L (Q), Step on L to L (Q), Cross R over L (S)
Bar 2: Hop on R, arms swing down and back (Q), Step L (Q), R (Q), L (S) into the center, arms swing back to W position
Bar 3: Arms stay in W position. hop on L foot, (Q), step R to R (Q), Cross L over R (Q), step on R to R (S)
Bar 4: Hop on R, arms swing down and back, Step L (Q), R (Q), L (S), arms swing back up to W position
Bars 5-8: Repeat bars 1-4, arms stay down at the end of bar 8, to start part 1
